Let us explain; There is no need to worry about whether a calculator is allowed or not in NISM exams. While writing your NISM exams at center or online, you will be facilitated with a inbuilt scientific calculator or Microsoft excel or open office. You need to practice little bit your calculations on both excel and open office.
Sometimes you will get excel access and sometimes open office excess although both are the same there are little differences in calculations signs you need to practice and learn before going to NISM exams.
According to my experience in the NISM center exam after checking they allow my calculator to use for NISM exams. In online exam also occasionally I used my own calculator but in front of the camera. The Invigilator know you are genuinely using for your NISM exams or you are doing any malpractices.
Better everything are available on your NISM desktop software so use it and complete your exam without any issue. Many cases I know where exams got cancelled due to repeatedly use of own calculator and warning from Invigilator.
If any Invigilator is giving a warning to you for any reason either for your eye movement or head movement or to stop the use of any device. Please stop everything immediately and focus on your desktop questions and answer them and finish your test within the given time limit.
